Dear community,
The first thing that im going to change immediately because it is an issue for very long and except of nice talk not much has happened is the random assignment of the player position p1 / p2. Because we dont have a tool for that in-game yet (i reported it today to the developers, see https://gna.org/bugs/index.php?15798 for more detailed informations) we will have to use an external website that will make the decision.
From now on, ladder players will use the website http://www.randomresult.com/ to receive a ticket. It is really easy:
You quickly read through the instructions, go to point 4 "get or check a ticket", leave everything as it is, enter a short description (e.g. L Rigor vs Tesafilmchen), and, if u want, a password. And now comes the hardest part:
You have to manage to read the letters to confirm your ticket. Sometimes those letters are really hard to read, fortunately nothing happens when you enter the wrong letters, just keep trying to decipher them until you receive the ticket number. In case you used a password, enter it now, if not, just click OK and voila, there is your number:
1 means you are player 1 while the symbol means you are player 2.
If the other player did all the work for you, then you can view the result when u go to the website, click on the link "get or check a ticket" and enter the ticket number in the first line.
We will test this new system for a month now and you can tell us whether you liked it or not via forum:

To give you enough time to get comfortable with getting and checking the tickets this rule starts working from 2010-04-07 20:00 UTC server time (the time u see at the very bottom of the ladder mainpage) until 2010-05-07 20:00 UTC
